Introduction to the URL Shortener Feature
The URL Shortener in InTarget is designed to optimize links included in SMS campaigns, making them more manageable and appealing while enabling detailed tracking of player interactions. This feature not only shortens URLs but also allows you to track each click, providing valuable insights into campaign performance and player engagement.
Step-by-Step Guide to Using the URL Shortener
Step 1: Prepare Your SMS Campaign
Start by setting up an SMS campaign within InTarget’s Marketing Automation Module. This involves defining your audience, crafting your message, and scheduling the dispatch.
Step 2: Include URLs in Your Message
When composing your SMS message, include the full URLs (starting from https://) where you want to direct players. These might be links to promotions, new games, or your platform's main page.
Step 3: Enable the URL Shortener
Automatic Activation: The URL Shortener feature is enabled by default in the SMS campaign settings. This means that any URL included in your SMS will automatically be detected and shortened.
URL Detection and Shortening: Once your message is ready and includes URLs, the system automatically identifies these links and converts them into shortened versions, each 13 characters long. These shortened URLs are unique to each recipient, enhancing personalized tracking.
Step 4: Dispatch the SMS
Send out your SMS campaign. Each recipient will receive the message with a unique, shortened URL embedded within the text.
Step 5: Track Player Interactions
Click Tracking: The URL Shortener feature allows you to monitor how many times each shortened link is clicked. This tracking is integrated with the campaign dashboard, where you can see real-time data on player engagement.
