InTarget allows you to create multilingual versions of your message templates (Email, SMS, Push Notification, On-site Message, etc.) to ensure that users receive communications in their preferred language.
How it works
Default Template
When you create a new template, the first version becomes the Default.
This Default template will be sent to all users regardless of their language, unless translations are added.
Adding Translations
After the template is created, you’ll see a new “Translations” tabs.
Here you can add versions of the template in other languages.
If a user has a matching language set in their profile, they will automatically receive the translated version.
Example:
Default template: English
Translation: Spanish
Result:
Users with profile language Spanish → receive Spanish version
All other users → receive Default English version
No Extra Setup in Campaigns
When you build a campaign, you only need to select the template once in the communication step.
InTarget automatically delivers the correct version (Default or Translation) based on the user’s profile language.
Email Subjects
Each Email Template can now have its own Subject line defined at the template level.
This field is optional.
If a subject is defined in the template, then translations also apply to it. Each translated version of the email can have its own localized subject line.
If you do not set a subject in the template, you can still specify a general subject line at the campaign step level.
Key Notes
If no translation is available for a user’s profile language, the Default version is always used.
You can add multiple translations for as many languages as you support.
Campaign logic doesn’t change — translations are handled entirely at the template level.
