Saved Reports & Scheduled Email Delivery

Save a report configuration so you don't rebuild it every time, and schedule it to be emailed automatically with a relative date period.

Saved reports let you store a full report setup — period, scope, breakdown, metrics and filters — under a name, so you never have to rebuild it. Optionally, you can schedule that report to run on its own and land in your inbox.

Use Cases

Your morning numbers, without touching the builder. You check the same registration and deposit report every morning. Save it once with Schedule email delivery set to Daily at 09:00 — the numbers are waiting for you before you open InTarget.

Send data to people who don't use InTarget. Your head of acquisition wants the channel breakdown but never logs in. Add their address to Recipients and they get the report automatically — no account, no requests to you.

Keep one preset per market or channel. Build the report once, save it, then use Save current as new to spin off variants — one filtered to Germany, one to Brazil, one per UTM source. Switching between them is two clicks.

Stop re-picking metrics out of 36. Heavy setups — several grouping levels, a long metric selection, three or four filters — take minutes to reassemble from scratch. Save it once and reopen it instantly.

How It Works

A saved report does one or two things, depending on how you set it up:

  • Saved only. The configuration is stored for you to reopen from the Saved reports dropdown. Nothing is sent anywhere.

  • Saved and scheduled. The report also runs on a schedule and is emailed to the recipients you list.

The important difference between the two is the date range. In the builder you work with fixed dates, like 31.07.2026 – 07.08.2026. Scheduled emails ignore that fixed range and use the Period you choose in the schedule instead — a relative window such as Last 7 days, resolved fresh at every run. That's what keeps an automatic report from mailing you the same frozen week forever.

Saving a Report

  1. Configure the report as usual and click Apply to confirm the output is what you want.

  2. Click Save at the bottom of the sidebar, next to Apply.

  3. Enter a Name. This is how the report is listed in the Saved dropdown and on the Saved Reports page — make it recognisable, for example Registration Daily Metrics.

  4. Leave Schedule email delivery off if you only want to reopen the report yourself later.

  5. Click Save report.

Scheduling Email Delivery

Turn on the Schedule email delivery toggle in the same dialog. Three more fields appear:

  1. When — how often the report runs and at what time, for example Daily at 09:00. The time is interpreted in your profile timezone.

  2. Period (relative — resolves each run) — the date window each email covers, for example Last 7 days. This replaces the date range set in the builder, so every send covers fresh dates.

  3. Recipients — the email addresses that receive the report. Up to 20 addresses.

Click Save report to activate the schedule.

Opening and Managing Saved Reports

Click Saved reports next to the page title to open the dropdown. It contains:

  • Search saved reports — filter the list by name.

  • The list of your saved reports. Each entry shows its name and, if it has a schedule, a summary line underneath — for example Daily 09:00 · 1 recipients. Select a report to load its configuration into the builder.

  • Row actions — the icons on the right of each entry let you edit the report's settings, duplicate it, or delete it.

  • Save current as new — stores whatever is currently configured in the builder as an additional saved report, leaving the existing ones untouched.

Limits & Monitoring

Scheduled delivery has a few boundaries worth knowing before you set one up.

  • An email contains a maximum of 50 rows. If your report produces more than that, the email will be truncated. Narrow the breakdown or add filters so the numbers you care about fit — and open the saved report in InTarget when you need the full dataset.

  • Very heavy reports can be switched off. We monitor scheduled reports for load. If one is disproportionately heavy — a huge number of columns, deep grouping, an oversized dataset — we reserve the right to disable it. Keep scheduled reports to the metrics you actually read.

  • Unused reports can be switched off. We also monitor how reports are used. If a scheduled report goes unopened for a long time, we may disable its delivery. If you no longer need a report, it's better to delete it than to leave it sending.

Tips

  • A saved report without a schedule can be scheduled later — open it, edit it and switch the toggle on.

  • The schedule line in the dropdown is the quickest way to check what is being sent, how often and to how many people, without opening each report.

  • If a scheduled email arrives with dates you didn't expect, check the Period field rather than the builder's date range — the schedule always uses the relative period.

  • Use Save current as new instead of editing when you want a variant. Editing overwrites the original, including its schedule and recipients.
